Metro Rail in Dhaka

Metro Rails are popular because of their speed. Metro Rails can reach a destination several times earlier than the time taken by normal trains to reach a particular destination. 
Bangladesh is a developing country. The population of this country is slightly higher. About 22 million people of this population live in Dhaka. As a result, traffic jams are often created in Dhaka city. 
Bangladesh's government took the Metro Rail project to alleviate this traffic jam and to move from one place to another in Dhaka city in less time.

Dhaka Metro Rail Lines

Metro Rail in Dhaka is a Strategic Transport Plan (STP) twenty years long by the Bangladesh government agency "Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA)". 
From 2022 till now there is one line in Dhaka Metro Rail which is mentioned as MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) Line-6 by DTCA. In the future, other Metro Rail Lines are connected with this MRT Line-6.
The first commercial operation will be started On 16 December 2022 Victory day from MRT Line 6- 1st Phase Uttra North to Agargaon. The partial operation will start Dhaka Metro Rail by the 10 sets of Metro Rails.

Dhaka Metro Rail Stations

How many stations are there in Dhaka Metro train? "There are 16 stations have been designated for Dhaka Metro Rail." They are- Uttara North, Uttara Center, Uttara South, Pallabi, Mirpur 11, Mirpur 10, Kazipara, Shewrapara, Agargaon, Bijoy Sarani, Farmgate, Karwan Bazar, Shahbag, Dhaka University, Bangladesh Secretariat, Motijheel.
According to information received from DMTCL, the construction of a 129.9 KM Dhaka metro rail route will be finished by 2030. When the constructions are fully complete, 24 metro rails operating on those routes.
